On another occasion Alexandra was said to have worn a large ruby in a brooch, but once again I doubt it would have been the Thibaw ruby. Without photos we can never be totally sure, but I suspect that there would have been press comment - or at least comment in diaries and letters --if either Queen Alexandra or Queen Victoria wore the famed ruby.
