I also think that these jewels are owned by her HM and given when she was a young Queen.

She wore 4 different brooches including an emerald and diamond bow brooch + 3 different necklaces.

Nice find though Frank, but I agree with MarcA and Beth that the necklace doesn't fit the one worn by the late QM. I do however remember seeing a thread on another board that suggested that HM borrowed the jewels she wore to the CHG in Nigeria from maybe one of her Ladies In Waiting. I however think the jewels I also saw at the time looked as though they could have been given to HM when she was a very young lady, as they look playful and not like the sophisticated and major bling usually associated with high level royalty. Upwards to the other day I saw on another board 'The Court Jeweller' a thread on the Princess Royal who was photographed at age 21 wearing a nice and beautiful tiara which never appeared before or was ever seen again. Could that tiara also come from her grandmother Princess Andrew of Greece or was it a gift from HM in those deep and wide vaults she is reported to have? The tiara looks like one you would give a young lady.

    Regards,

    Dave.

    Dear all,

I have just found on the net a beautiful photo of the fringe necklace worn by QEII in Nigeria in 2003 (We can now see the details)

I think that she may be wearing the earrings from the King Hassan of Morocco's Diamond Demi-Parure.

Can it be the Queen Mary's fringe necklace (less one fringe on each side) on a thin necklace ?
