    Carisbrooke tiara(s)? Archived Message

    I have just had another look at a video from the performance at Govent Garden Opera House in 1950 when the French president visited United Kingdom. It is such joy to see all that glitter! Anyway, my attention this time was drawn to one of the ladies in the Royal party. She is wearing an ears-of-wheat tiara and at first I was thinking of Mary Adelaide of Teck's tiara. However, I am not quite able to identify her. I don't think it is a lady-in-waiting, but one of the "minor" royals attending. Could it in fact be the Marchioness of Carisbrooke? If so, is anything known about this tiara? We know that Carisbrooke had the Strawberry Leaf tiara, but did their collection include other pieces?
