Blue stone Brooch Posted by Dave on January 18, 2019, 1:49 am Hi everyone, please take a look at the documentary posted below and you will see from 30 seconds into the program HM QE2 has on a large blue colored stone wearing as a brooch on her left side. I watch it a couple of time a year! As for the brooch - it is HM's Pink and Blue Floral Brooch which was a gift from her parents in 1945. There are matching earring as well.

The blue stone look really large, it looks like one large blue stone. I wonder if the earrings recently spotted on the Docam which created some interest which were multi-coloured but not enough close ups to ascertain their real look or design are the matching earrings to this brooch? I was looking at photos from that sitting by Baron yesterday but, while I found one where the details of the brooch were clear, the earrings were difficult to see. The photo you found is the first where I have ever been able to make out the earring details. Thank you.
