Grand Duchess Maria Teresa's watch with emerald face Posted by Beth on October 18, 2019, 4:01 pm On the RJWMB Alyend recognised that Grand Duchess Maria Teresa was wearing a watch with an emerald face for the state banquet. https://members2.boardhost.com/royal-jewels/msg/1571167458.html The watch with diamond band and emerald face As no one mentioned anything more about this jewel, I hunted through some photos to see if I could see it worn at other times. The earliest photos I found were from 2004 during the state visit to Spain. Detail The Grand Duchess wore it in 2017 in Norway for the 80th birthday celebrations of King Harold and Queen Sonja. Detail I couldn't spot the watch being worn either by Grand Duchess Charlotte or Grand Duchess Josephine Charlotte. Interestingly, Grand Duchess Maria Teresa didn't wear the watch for the official photos taken to commemorate her 20th wedding anniversary in 2001. Or for the state visit to Spain in 2001. Has any one come across more information? Or seen other occasions when it was worn?

The craftsmanship must be supreme in all aspects and I wonder which jewel house design and made it. Beth, how big do you recon the emerald stone at the center of the tiara is? Has the stone's provenance ever been discussed such as the one from the Greville legacy now in the collection of HMQE2 of the UK? Regards, Dave.
