Princess Margaret. Pink stone brooch --earlier date Posted by Beth on June 7, 2021, 5:52 pm In February 2019 I inquired about a brooch worn by Princess Margaret, which was unknown to me. See https://mb.boardhost.com/historyroyaljewels/thread/1550370040.html J-F and Maridje kindly provided images, and J-F noted that the earliest date he had found was November 1965. J-F. I have found an even earlier date, October 1955. I wish we could identify the giver and when Princess Margaret received this brooch. It does look like the style of brooch Queen Mary might have selected, but I don't think we have ever seen it photographed on Queen Mary.

Pink stone brooch --earlier date" It wasn't in the Christie's auction, but some of Princess Margaret's jewels have been sold at other auctions. The Princess is also said to have sold some of her jewels years ago, so whether it is still with her children is anyone's guess.
