Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother. Probably wearing the 2 large sapphire brooches Posted by Beth on November 9, 2021, 7:12 pm I noticed that PaulP, one of the commentators on The Court Jeweller site, has identified an occasion in 1957 when QEQM looks to be wearing the two large sapphire brooches at once. One is as a brooch and the other is as a clasp to her pearls. I cannot make up my mind, but this is not one of the clasps I have seen previously. What do others think?

(also worn by Princess Diana) Congratulations once again ! Last but not least these indian pearls must have been her most expensive pearl necklace. She has worn these pearls for the most important events of her life. I'd love to see HM do a double with these peices but I believe HM is not inclined to do so. Seeing that they are versatile I wonder if the BRF may not consider a tiara to suite those stones.
