The late Queen Mary of UK Posted by Dave on February 16, 2022, 10:58 am In the below documentary, please take note of QM at time (01:11) into the program and see if the not completed circle brooch/pin on her hat can be identified along with her center portion of necklace. At (7:13) minutes, one should check out the bracelets worn by a late Queen Victoria, and see if one of them is not the one worn by the DoCorn the Cat's eye, cant quite now remember the name of the stone, but I believe it was also worn by the late Queen Alexandra. At (27:54) minutes, can anyone say what is the brooch of a large stone at her neck, and is it the same stone at (33:47)/ (47:56) minutes? The hat pin at (37:44)? At (48:01) minutes, the Queen seems to be wearing the Russian Sapphire at her neck, the one her granddaughter the present QE2 wore last when she visited the Pope. The necklaces accompanying seem to be the ones we spoke of recently known as the long station collier which could be broken down into to two necklaces. Maybe the late PD took a lesson in how to wear the large sapphire she was gifted by the late QEQM from QM. At (56:11) minutes, can someone say if the pearl brooch the Queen wears is a black pearl? The same occasion featured in the video at 48.10. I think that it is the rectangular, almost square aquamarine worn by Princess Margaret. Queen Mary often wore it as a pendant. 48.10

But I also realise that it could be an optical illusion. But Queen Mary did have black pearl earrings.

Jewels at 01.11" The identification of this jewel is a bit of a mystery to me. First, I don't think it is the sapphire worn so famously by Princess Diana. Below are some photos and comments --on what I think about each. A still from the video Bryce posted (Thank you Bryce!) As in the still from the video Dave posted this jewel does not appear to be a full circle, but I think that a decoration on HM's hat might be obscuring part of the diamonds. Secondly, I think that this is an empty circle of diamonds. I think the photo below is from the same occasion. In the photo above the circle of diamonds looks complete. In the photo below, it looks as if HM is wearing the same brooch on her hat, but with another jewel pinned through it. Queen Mary was photographed wearing a circle of diamonds in her hat at an Ascot meeting, but the details are unclear. I also have this photo of Queen Mary wearing a circle of diamonds on her hat. Is it the same brooch? This photo is much clearer. It could be the same brooch, and what looks like a larger diamond segment at the top of the brooch in the earlier photos may just be an illusion due to the light when the photos were taken. What do others think? I am undecided.

I think you have discovered the frame of maybe 2 jewels as the one in the still pointed out by myself and Bryce seem to be possibly incomplete and bigger at one side while you have also pointed out that it may be a full circle of diamonds obscured at points or possibly another whole new jewel. The fact that it is a circle of diamonds means it is also possible that it could entertain a colored stone in its center. Thanks to Bryce for adding to our comparisons. Regards, Dave.
