And the huge collection of Queen Elizabeth II keeps growing... Posted by Kongetro on June 7, 2022, 8:55 pm Just saw a couple of posts on Twitter regarding two gifts made to Her Majesty for her Platinum Jubilee. You would think that she had already enough brooches but she now has (at least) two more to choose from: https://twitter.com/CoutureRoyals/status/1533882947895545856 https://twitter.com/TiaraManiaBlog/status/1533884265934598144 They are lovely brooches and hopefully we will get to see them worn by Her Majesty once in a while. She was also seen wearing what a blieve is yet another new brooch at the lighting of the Principal Beacon at Windsor Castle. Thanks Kongetro. Re the brooch worn by the Queen while lighting the first beacon at Windsor Castle. It was produced & presented by the Goldsmiths' Company to mark the Platinum Jubilee. Every website has jumped on the bandwagon, but I think it is worthwhile reading about it on the Goldsmiths' site. See https://www.instagram.com/p/CeVj-MGs7Pv/ Once again this is an occasion when the Queen has been able to choose from a selection of designs. The Goldsmiths' Company has some superb photos. It is interesting to read that two brooches were made. The one for the Goldsmiths' records/collection has a different hallmark to differentiate the two.

I guess their's a whole lot more gifts we will not hear about. I recall in the Diamond Jubilee it was reported that the Queen received many splendid gifts from foreign rulers, but there was no real detailed account all to the relative ambiguous yearly royal gift record.
