Posted by Dave on April 5, 2023, 4:12 am If I'm to go by certain gossip and news reports, we will not get the jewels as we suspected at King Charles's coronation. This all if it is true signals the eventual windup of the British monarchy. If they were really woke then I would have expected that a choice would have been given to guest to choose either day wear or other or specify that only Royals, Dukes, Earls and maybe Barons could wear tiaras with their other finery. But then even if you did it that way, then what of persons who are private individuals who have in their possession tiaras or other to match the nobility jewels. It's all watered down. The British coronation is different and unique than any other enthronement, so to feed into wokedom and virtue signaling is very popular now, this is why I see no real difference in behaviors between the senior male members of that family. But I gather it will still have its high points. This would have been the only real occasion to see historic and new jewels for literature purposes. Regards, Dave.
