Once again, sincere condolences to Mazinka at the loss of sweet Paul. What a terrible experience for her when the ambulance calls didn't go through. I understand that there are lots of problems with the phone services in La Manz right now, and because of that, I've tried to come up with some options.
If you have a medical emergency, call 315-112-4048 first. If for some reason the call doesn't go through, one of our team members has allowed us to use his personal number, 315-100-4509. If that number isn't working, call 911. You will reach Proteccion Civil, who will then try to dispatch the ambulance team. All of these numbers should also work with WhatsApp. Unfortunately, there are two numbers listed on the emergency number page on the message board. The second number, 315-100-7934--reaches Francisco and his ambulance which no longer works.
The ambulance service is working on a number of things right now, including a mapping program that will locate you on a map, training more drivers, and training new team members. We also will be offering another CPR class to members of the community in the fall.
Also in the fall, the ambulance board will be organizing a community meeting where we can discuss accomplishments and issues with the ambulance service. We hope to see everyone there.
