If you have an ear infection, and have had it for awhile, the usual antibiotics that get prescribed in Mexico are never effective. You need to have a steroid RX. I had an ear infection there a few years ago and after three weeks of antibiotics that did nothing I went and saw an ENT specialist at Euchari Hospital in Manzanillo. She cleaned my ear out, stuffed it with cotton gauze soaked in a steroid cream and voila, within 24 hours it was a thing of the past.
