Hello, I'm looking for guidance on how to deal with the extremely loud music my neighbors play until midnight most nights. It's extraordinarily loud, and there's no way for me to shut it out. Even my earbuds don't go loud enough to drown it out. I can't read, watch movies, or sleep.

They are directly below me, and the sound comes straight up the hill and into my home.

My question is, would it be appropriate to speak to them about turning the volume down, maybe even after 10pm? I want to be respectful of the culture, but I'm not sure I can handle five more months of this. I'm losing sleep and my nerves are being affected.

I appreciate any and all advice.
