The Ejido has asked us to contribute money to remove the rocks from the beach. It is acknowledged that the rocks washed into the ocean from the river after heavy rains - when building contractors had removed the large boulders from the river to use in building construction.

It seems only fair to me that these contractors and heavy equipment operators that profited from the boulders and messed with Mother Nature should donate their time and money to replace these impediments that prevented the river stones from being swept into the ocean - which subsequently landed on the beach.

I would be much more inclined to contribute to removing the stones from the beach if the builders made retribution, AND a plan to do so is included in this project.

As someone suggested at the meeting, they could purchase concrete highway barriers, transport them to the river in flat bed trucks, and replace these barriers with their heavy equipment.

I am not keen to pay for removing stones from the beach if more can just wash down the river into the ocean again.
