There are no 'local Telcel office' in La Manz, Melaque or Barra. There are authorised sellers but it is not the same. They donot have acces to all the system and files. That is only in Manzanillo next to Soriana.
The other is that don't count on using a friend's name and ID. There are limits to how many phones a person can have registered to them (I think it is 10) and then they are responsible legally for your phone number and anything illicit that it may be used for should it come to that, so a lot of people won't want that responsibility.
