About local dengue cases

Ever since the arroyo was graded below sea water level there have been stagnant pools sitting for months after the rainy season just breeding with all sorts of yucky stuff!

And it doesn’t help that the water backs up from a dirt bridge that comes off of Boca del Rio going to Casa Magay! I have tried to get an answer from those involved in Magay about draining the lake behind it but to date, no response!

I know of at least 20 cases of local dengue so am sure there are more…and there has been no spraying that I am aware of this past season! This new rain will flush some of the pools but later with the backup we are going to have more problems and possible cases!

Let’s get this water moving out…under that new bridge!

This is interesting, pouring vegetable oil in the pool of stagnant water can prevent the larvae from hatching.

Was advised to talk with the Delegado about the lakes….or sitting water in the arroyo! Would be too much oil to possibly stave off the larvae but great for small areas!

Although it's definitely.
Sad that so many people are Getting sick.
Your post is actually Not based in fact, which is very unhelpful in the current situation of so many people being affected By the illness. I actually witnessed individuals working in and around the river. And they actually came to my house and knocked on my door to explain to me what they were doing( spraying)

That’s so good to hear Greg! Where are you located? As they have not been down river that I am aware of….and the pools still linger!

I did speak to the new Delegado today about the dirt bridge hindering the release of the water at the base of Boca del Rio and he’s on it..ojala!

Jalisco is the worst state in the country for dengue. This article from yesterday lists the worst neighbourhoods - and they’re all around Guadalajara.

It is a two way flow thing where the mosquito injects an equivalent of saliva (which is an anti-coagulant) that allows the blood to flow and it to drink.

That 'saliva' is where the illnesses are transmitted.

In the spirit of free speech, I’m leaving the post about “cds” on the board, but the doctor promoting this “cure” was charged with murder in the death of a 5 year old boy whose parents gave him cds to try to cure Covid. Cds is an industrial bleaching and disinfecting agent and can cause serious side effects when taken orally.
