Delegation updates!

Tried to get money out of the atm at the delegation AGAIN this morning…not happening! And the new Delegado Trente came out and said he would call the machine folks and inform them that it’s not taking both foreigners cards and locals cards!

Also…he has purchased a sprayer himself as he can use it for his palapa business as well as for spraying for dengue! The chemicals have been purchased and he’s now looking for a mask to protect the men who will be walking through the streets and arroyo to suppress the spread!

This man is very approachable and listens to both ideas and finds a fix! So introduce yourselves when you see him! It’s great when both communities come together to solve issues!

When I used the ATM on Tuesday I was able to get money from one bank (Manulife), but not from another (BMO)). The scary part is that although I received a barely legible, faint receipt saying that I didn't receive money from BMO, online my bank account showed that sum as being deducted! Hard to know what to do! I was sent in circles trying to notify BMO online and received no reply from my branch phone number.

Might I suggest that you take a photo of your bank transaction before it fades. Similar incident happened to me, bank showed $ were withdrawn & deducted from my account. I just had to contact bank & they asked for transaction number from the receipt, can’t remember if I also had to send to them.

Thanks TerriLM. a photo was a good suggestion as the faint ATM receipts became legible when expanded. However contacting BMO has been impossible so far... the online steps just go in circles

Dhyana, this has happened to me a couple of times. Call your financial company and give them as much information as you can. The number of the machine, date, time, amount, location etc. the last time I called, the man said take it up with someone in Mexico. I insisted quite strongly that it was impossible for me to do that, so he looked into it, and my money was replaced within a couple of weeks.
