Local town water delivery
Posted by ErinS on February 12, 2026, 8:17 am
I inquired at the Ejido office as to when or if there was a scheduled delivery date and time that the water system is turned on, the answer surprised me, everyday at 3 pm, and I know this is not fact only fiction, in other words, the office did not know for sure. There is a new water man for the town and I don't hear of any shortages, but I also don't know when to expect it. Has anyone figured this out?? Thanks
We're on the beach just past the cocodrilario. These days the water from the pueblo seems to come on around 8 pm for 2-3 hours. This is different from past years when the water came on around 7 am until 2 pm. During Christmas holidays and the Rodeo weekend, the water was on all day.
I notice pipas bringing water to places on the beach, although we have not run out of water since November.
This was posted on Facebook today by Agua Potable La Manzanilla:
📢 IMPORTANT NOTICE – DRINKING WATER SERVICE
La Manzanilla Drinking Water Good afternoon. A report was received of a water outage in an area of Concha Molida Street, past María Asunción Street, heading towards the beach. Our staff went to investigate today at 2:05 p.m. and confirmed that there is water service in the area at the time of the inspection. The videos were taken at that time. Since yesterday, we have implemented a water rationing system between the town center and the rural area, in order to allow water to reach the higher elevations, as the recovery levels in the wells have begun to decrease after the rainy season.
🕒 Water Delivery Schedule: 💧 From Doña Gelo to the Rural Area: 🕕 6:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
💧 From Doña Gelo towards the Crocodile Farm and the Dentist's Office area: 🕐 1:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.
We appreciate your reports and ask for your understanding and support in conserving water.
I may be wrong (it's a frequent occurrence) but I don't believe we had such water shortage problems before the town started supplying Taheima with water. Nothing can be done about that I think, but one easy area to preserve water would be for the Ejido to let people know that a lot of water could be saved by not watering the roads. Please don't crucify me, it is just a suggestion to try to preserve some of the water.
