Town’s well water system:

15 hp pump, 4” diameter pipe

Tamarindo well water system:

100 hp, 12” diameter pipe

So as you can see, the town has no way of competing with the Tamarindo system - the wells are supposedly in the vicinity of each other and of the same aquifer.

And as I understand - the Tamarindo well was our town's well?

Yes, it was, but it was sold to Tamarindo. As I have been told many times.

The well is on Ejido land and the Ejido members have the right to sell their land.

This sale, however, came at a huge expense to the town and its locals.
