HS softball in NWI isnt as competitive as IL. LC has a choke hold on the other NWI schools due to pulling from multiple surrounding towns. Most pull from 1 or 2 towns, LC pulls from 4+ hard to compete against that. Their 3rd on the depth chart is better than most 1st. Their 1-9 is better than some high $ travel teams. That school should realistically win 30+ games every year, and win the state title. Some will say coaching, some will say lack luster non-conference schedule, some will say the personalities and the entitlement in the dugout is their demise. Their always seems to be alot of chatter in the stands/dugout/AD office that seems to follow with this local powerhouse that cant win the big game. In the years to come some local schools have some good talent coming though the program, maybe can stop hearing from the LC parents about how great we are…. But cant win a big game and its the coaches fault….
