I don’t understand the “watered down” comment. Less teams doesn’t necessarily mean higher quality, and looking at Alliance or PGF standings would suggest that the multi team program structure works quite well.

Locally, Iowa Premier seems to have perfected it. This allows them to flex rosters quickly and easily depending upon player availability, player progression, and tournament strength. Having one squad doesn’t give you that option.
