I’ve not disregarded that there are SOME parents who can pull this off. But there is NO WAY - even if they are a “good coach” - that it doesn’t impact the perceptions of the parent and the kid, internally and externally.

Juice isn’t worth the squeeze at the competitive levels. Especially as you get into college exposure, it’s a TOTAL liability.
