Please, please, please.... Get in contact with an assignor, take the test, work your way to doing HS varsity games. That'd be one less game an assignor would have to worry about getting someone there to umpire.

Unfortunately, there are bad umpires who make their way through the system at all levels of play. The former MLB umpire Angel Hernandez was one of the most notoriously poor umpires ever. Even with all the performance reviews MLB umpires have he did not improve. I wonder how many crews refused to work with him because he was so bad.
