Your story is yours, and I don't doubt it. Just offering my own two cents for others...
First, playing time is important - but so is getting a good education and having a positive experience. In other words, if you can be a starter at XYZ for four years or have a good experience as a role player at Michigan, plenty of kids will be happy with the latter.
Second, plenty of travel coaches don't care - but I think more of them are just ignorant. I remember sitting in "recruiting talks" led by tenured program heads and wondering to myself if the guy speaking has actually ever been on a four year school campus - or talked to a head coach.
But the big take away here is that IF you want to play in college, this is a very hard, very expensive, very time demanding and very energy consuming journey. Buyer beware. Always do your own homework and don't rely upon any one source of truth. Your kid is too important for that.
