Do people really fall for B & C teams changing their name and all of a sudden they are A level.

It's interesting how rare it is for a program to substantially move its competitive level - and even rarer to stay there.

Bandits and Chill have been the pinnacle in the area for years. Programs can put together a great team, even a few great teams, but it's just so hard to sustain. Think Sparks, NLL and WI Lightening could be recent examples. (I'm not intending to disparage anyone - just some examples and there may be better ones.)

The program that seems best positioned to challenge Bandits and Chill is Iowa Premier, with their top to bottom quality, solid coaching, and good organizational leadership.

Holding on to quality leadership and coaching is rare... which is why it doesn't work to merely rebrand.

Iowa Premier top teams are competitive with Chill and not far off Bandits. Gerry keeps it pure with one team at 14,16 and 18. while Bandits have two teams at every age from 10-18. Iowa Premiers franchise teams are not at the same level as Chill or Bandits. I would say IP is more like IMG, with some very good teams and too many average teams.

You are correct about the Chill. However, Bandits 14u has 4 teams. 16u also has 4 teams. The talent level isn't the same.

Like most programs, there's the A team that stands out above the rest. Not that anyone would know since the Bandit teams are not required to play each other in championship games.

The original poster said Bandits have 2 teams at every age from 10-18u. They have two 10’s, two 11’s, two 12’s, two 13’s, two 14’s, two 15’s, two 16’s and two 18’s. It appears they combine 17 and 18.
At least that was how I interpreted.

And your daughters team couldn't beat any one of those Bandit teams. Who cares if an organization has 20 teams, as long as they are putting out a quality product. These franchise teams are mostly B teams with a nationally recognized uniform. It's a ruse to draw suckers over to your B/C team. How are you doing your anchor teams justice by selling their jersey all over the country. Do you really think changing the Palos Penguins to the Palos Bandits, with the same coaching and players, is all of a sudden going to turn them into a D1 recruitable team. Let's hope college coach's aren't that gullible.

Just Saying was fairly close to being accurate. I do have a 9U team and a total of 17 teams, two at each age with exception of one 9U and 17 and 18's combined.

@Bandit Fact Check, you seem to take issue with Bandits shaking hands if they meet in the championship. This past weekend the Bandits once again swept all age divisions in the Jeff Mac PGF Memorial Day Tournament and they played the championship at all 3 levels. I prefer when it is Bandits versus Bandits, the teams shake hands for chemistry reasons. No need to have teams from the same program have a bad taste in their mouths about each other because often, kids will be moved from one team to the other.
How I choose to do things is really up to me, since it's my program and it has worked well for all the Bandits. I would suggest working with your team more and focusing less on the Bandits, that way you can keep the Bandits from having Bandit against Bandit championships._: smiley("
