Munster or CP was going take down LC in sectionals. CP is just so balanced.

We were out played. Top to bottom. We had 2 hits and the top of the line up was K after K. Their D made play after play, their pitcher is pitch by pitch better. END OF STORY. Cant blame the coaches, they tried to make adjustments, it just didnt work. They were better prepared and came to play. The story always goes, its hard to beat a team 3 times in a season. They came hungry to win, we came ready to go to Wu’s House. #truth

You are right. And who's job is it to have the team prepared and ready to play? Evidently, seven NSA B coaches in the dugout is not enough.

Keyboard heroes always saying the LC coaching is the issue..as a fan at the game yesterday I noticed only 2 hits and pitches hung over very the middle of the plate from LC and CP pitcher mixed it up well and kept hitters off balance and swinging out of the zone. Seems like sour parents that this team couldn’t get out of their own way and make a deeper postseason run. For those mommies/daddies worried about the coaching, I would be more worried about finding a different hitting and “mentality” coach for those premier players who underperformed in big situations. LC hasn’t won a state championship since 2004 with 4 different head coaches. Time to start thinking it’s the entitled players and parents, not the coaching staff. Hey, but let’s keep blaming them and trying to get them fired….time to turn in those remarkable resumes from the loud mouths of NWI.

I’m sure Rick baker is proud of his coaching staff and to say this to divert the attention from his coaching staff to the kids hitting fielding and mental coaches

There was clearly a team prepared to do battle, and a team who had very little fight in them. While the staff may be made up of some very nice people, they failed to get the team prepared. That’s still the bottom line, three days later.

Were the commentators named Patti Gasso or Mike White? Seems like many of these people commentating are average joes announcing. Again as fan at game and a team with as much D1 talent you’d think they know situational softball in that moment or can the kids not think for themselves anymore?…not to mention all this D1 talent went 2-20 at the plate in the biggest game of year, I’m sure that was all due to a lack of preparation too with the softball experts here. Maxpreps stats are public so I’m assuming that you’re referring to certain players not playing against Michigan City and Chesterton. I surely doubt those at bats were the majority of these players couldn’t hit in the big game too. All I heard from the stadium seating by home plate was some jackass yelling the coaches needed to be fired. Sounds like some of these future D1 players from LC are in for a rude awakening…I hear the college transfer portal becoming there best friend already

If you’re an outsider obviously you’re a clown and don’t have a clue about the game these kids ain’t doing that stuff on there own cuz it’s a double standard they don’t do it the get blamed they do it they get blamed with out the coaches telling them but idk what game you watch but coaches usually tell the kids what to do on the field that’s why they run plays and have signs and for the jackass saying fire everyone they aren’t wrong but let me know when you watch a game that the coach isn’t telling the kids what to do or running signs I’ll be waiting for awhile

I’m the clown?…your on here calling for the entire coaching staff to be fired but avoided the fact your offense went 2-20. I’ll say it again 2-20 AND they intentionally walked LC’s beat hitter because no one else could do anything other than her. On top of that your complaint about pitch calling leads me to believe it was your daughter in the circle. Again I’m a clown but I got two eyes good enough to see that the catcher was set up on the outside third of the plate and the pitches were coming right down broadway. Pitches weren’t executed and CP just outplayed LC, maybe just tip your cap to CP. And then to make matters worse you’re pretty much saying that the kids can’t think for themselves, sounds like we should sign them up for T-ball again. Just an outsider thought but yeah I guess I’m the clown

Do you watch sports? If the favored team shows up year after year and fails, who bears that responsibility? If one coaching staff has their team prepared and ready, and the other staff doesn't, it becomes very obvious.

Keep listing ways that LC failed. ALL of it is in the lap of the coaching staff.

Hat tipped to the CP coaching staff for having their squad fired up, prepared, and ready.

I’d have to ask you the same question, have you ever heard of an upset in sports? Favored team doesn’t always win, Look at LA Dodgers they’ve had most talented team for the last 9 years and have 1 legit full season title to show for it.

Correct me if I’m wrong, isn’t your head coach only in 2nd year? You make it sound like they haven’t won since the 1950s..And I guess since you say it’s in coaches lap, you have some brilliant resume and ideas that would have helped them get more than 2 hits?

And for having them fired up?..let me tell you if you go into that game and aren’t fired up as a player then nothing the coach says or does will get those competitive juices flowing.

Lastly, the kicker in all this is next year IF LC wins the state title you’ll be back on here running your mouth about how it was the team that won it despite the coaches but because they got outplayed it’s the coaches fault now. Funny how if you win it’s the players and if you lose it’s coaches fault…hmm I smell some selfishness by the players and parents.

There is absolutely a way for a coach to have their team mentally and physically prepared.

Like you said, if you as a coach want the credit when things are good, then you can wear it when the team tanks.

The CP coach has taken some shots in the past, for her team's performance. But she's getting major praise after this game. It's funny how that works.

So you are telling me trying to bunt a 3 hitter instead of a 2 hitter and making her get deep behind the count and then striking out isn’t a coaching problem? So you are telling me letting a jv kid that came in to run with no experience in a big game instead of the varsity kid they have that usually runs goin first to third and getting thrown out isn’t a coaching problem? So you are telling me that having runners on 2nd and 3rd with 1 out losing 3-2 with the defense back isn’t a coaching problem? So that’s sour entitled parents? As a fan you need to watch a little closer and learn and maybe the pitcher from LC did miss some spots but the pitch calling was absolutely terrible not just yesterday but all year long

All I'm hearing is that the #3 hitter needs to learn to get her bunts down if she wants to play after high school. Why do you think the Varsity kid is any faster, and you're telling us the speed of the kids on the bases when they're playing back?

I was hoping you could keep us updated on your coaching moves this summer. I'm sure they'll be brilliant.

The better team won Friday evening. Its difficult to win at the elite level when parents are rooting against both players and coaching staff outside the fence. I sure don’t see these same parents criticizing both players and coaching staff during their childs travel teams experiences. This team was talented at every position. Soon these talented players and parents will learn that the me mentality will simply not work at the collegiate level. Of course both players and parents will never agree on all coaching decisions made but it never gives the parents the right opening criticize and ridicule during game play.

Gotta love someone that acted like an agent for their child at the lower ages gathering offers leaving a team at an out of town tournament mid schedule to race to another state to have his daughter play for a different team and then now preaching team first 😂

Umpires know that they are going to be second guessed. Especially as much videoing of the game as goes on today. The best thing umpires can do it turn off their ears when they arrive at the park.

When you coach, you know you're going to get second guessed at every turn. You know you're going to hear about decisions to bunt, steal, take the extra base, lineups, etc. It all gets second guessed. It comes with the territory.

Yes, it has chased many good coaches out of the game. Often times, it affects the spouse or family members more than the actual coach.

But, I disagree that the better team won on Friday. The better prepared team won on Friday. I'll give you that. The CP coaching staff put in the extra work, they had their team fired up, and convinced them they were going to win.

It worked because as prepared as CP was, LC was equally unprepared. LC was lethargic, and with the exception of a few, didn't seem interested in battling in the batter's box.
