Why so many gators?

Why are there so many Indiana Gators teams? There is a bunch of new ones. It’s just weird

Partly because of super cheap cost of entry to join and be a part of the org.

Partly because the majority of teams play in the regional A/B circles, so opportunities for a lot of teams

Partly because Mark and Penny do a really good job of uniforms and stuff, make it easy for coaches, and also have a very hands off approach to the coaches that come on board

Partly because they have had a couple teams that have done very well on the national level, and given the org a boost in their image amongst tourney directors and coaches.

Partly because a lot of those new teams have in their head that by just having the name, they are going to get into bigger tourneys and on better fields....which isn't happening.

The Indiana Gators are where lower level NWI teams go when they decide they want to play better competition. There are certain coaches who tout the national exposure of the Indiana Gators. But a player who I spoke with said she was at a camp, and the person running the camp said he'd never heard of the Indiana Gators.

Also, Gators house many of daddy-ball teams.

Or maybe half our girls who are eligible are being actively recruited from D1 to NAIA.

In the 25 class how many D1 players do the gators have? Not ones who player a year and already had their deal.

Typically posters using the term “daddy ball” is another way of saying my kid isn’t that good so that’s the reason they aren’t playing, but I gotta find a worn out excuse…

My daughter played for a couple daddy ball coaches and she played all the time and is currently playing for a P4 college. We stayed with the one team for awhile as we liked the coach but he did heavily favor his daughter who was horrible. The worst coach she had was actually a paid coach with no kids on the team but he let his assistant coaches who were parents run the show. The brown nosing was nauseating.
