I'm just now recalling a little piece of Mike's Forever where he makes the fine distinction between his own view and Tipler's. It occurs to me that a combination of the two views would be applicable to not-vitrification, but rather what I'm calling "gluteronics" using gluteraldehyde to lock microcell structures into place, recoverable not through AI scan but rather through Quantum Scanning (?)... because it's actually Quantum Computing that will be needed to reassemble our mind. This could be in place already in the Quantum Universe... but maybe it's more self-manufactured like Mike wants. In this case, gluteronics would be preferable even to vitrification...
I think whole body gluteronics is still preferable to neuro-gluteronics because some of the emotional brain nuerons are said to be in the gut.
Gluteronics can also be called "crypto-cryonics" because you'd require information processing to recover yourself. I was thinking AI before I heard the author of Deep Reality talk about QC on Noory one night, but now I'm thinking crypto-cryonics would neccessarily be the job of Quantum Computing.
