In 2001, Venturists were going to build a facility in Mayer, an hour north of Alcor, for cryonicists facilities, a hospice and headquarters as well as a kind of survival bug-out location in case of civilization collapse. I participated in some of the activites through 2002. By the late 2010's, the effort was seen to have failed and the entire lcoation was sold. Now, there is no backup for cryonicists north of Alcor located in Scottsdale.

There is the possibility that there is a secret cryonics community in the hills south of Flagstaff. I don't have any solid information on this however.
