I just quickly read a piece with comments on Reddit about a bad rescue in 2019. The key feature that stood out for me was that the member ought to have moved to Scottsdale near Alcor while ago instead of living in Florida. That move would have been easier if there were a cryonics residence/retreat like VentureVille tried to be. The multimillionnaires like Laughlin and Ali however don't understand that. Laughlin left his millions to his perpetual trust... a big problem in American finance that makes little sense. I'm not sure where Cassius Clays / Mohammed Ali's money ended up. I once thought cryonics had it made in the shade because wealthy people would leave their estate to cryonics. Wrong. And no millionnaire is as smart and powerful enough to create a cryonics commune... at least not yet.
