I just read through the post above at reddit again and it appears 1980's style Drexler nanotech won't work so gluteraldehyde+scanning+3Dprinting becomes 'new cryonics. The issue of the "original you" vs. a copy is addressed too but my current response to that would be that the human mind is stored in the quantum field anyway. The brain is a transcieving antenna for that Q-mind and if it is reconstructing, the "real you" will be "beamed back into it"... or not. Another "soul" could potentially hijack that original antenna+body creating a hybrid-you. The "real you" in the Quantum-Cloud would likely choose to incarnate into a fresh system before the original brain-that-you-used becomes available. With the Matzke Quantum theory of identity, the original cryonics idea becomes quite pointless in a sense.
