E-host brain concept by Matzke in Deep Reality fills this bill.

I was looking in Matzke's index for the concept he describes as a Q-mind being dropped into a body but did not find it yet. Instead I re-found the idea of an E-host which dovetails nicely with the entire problem & solution associated with the idea started by Seung and Hayworth doing fine-preservation using aldehydes, then Darwin's proposal of 3D printed brain or the original concept of "scanning" preposed by [?]. Matzke would say that instead of scanning, we would scan the aldehydre preserved brain then download from the Q-realm. It could be the original mind or it might be a different mind in which case you'd get a result similar to Hauser's Memory, the 1962 spy thriller where memory RNA was transplanted from one spy into another. In the Q-download case, a new mind would project itself into a brain/body recreated from an aldehyde stored/recreated brain "device" or "antenna" creating a hybrid personality.
