In that case, the soul that occupies the QLSr will be "someone else" but may likely take on the characteristics of the original person via their surviving antenna system, much like an AI-representation of a person today will "seem" like the original person but won't be.
On the other hand, the QLSr may have "trapped the soul" for real, a big fear in anti-cryonicists' veiws. Since it's a quantum-lock, it SHOULD have "trapped" the dualist-superghost-soul, as portrayed in Dr. Who. That would save that soul from being recycled into a reincarnation of some kind or passing to a higher or lower quantum aether world or condition. In that case, Dr. Who's Quantum-Locked-State would be "real" cryonics in the sense that that was what cryonics in 1962 to 2024 was SUPPOSED to be.
In fact, now that I think about it, Cryonics as it's done by Alcor and CI, could advertise that it DOES INDEED "trap your soul"... if they wanted to continue their original intention but they refuse to discuss quantum reality and they even refuse to publish real case studies anymore, anyway. So I doubt one of them would see my idea here and say "HEY, Rick Potvin has a great idea! Let's invite him to expand on his idea for us. Maybe we can pay him a genius associate!"
That belongs to the article "things that won't happen in this universe".
