on the real, you shoulda never lied
The Hunter purred out to the woman with his words, letting his charm out right away. His emerald gaze washed over her slowly, letting her take notice of him checking her out.”Why thank you.” Her words and smirk made him smirk in return. She was mannered well, something Uzi liked. Yet something about her made him want to see what she was like without the formalities. He introduced himself, giving her his name and rank before asking her name in return. ”It’s a pleasure to meet you, Uzi. My name is Dwyn.” His eyes darted up to meet hers with a kind smile. "The pleasure is mine, Dwyn." He spoke softly.
What was it about her that made him want to get to know her? After all, he had slept with another already in this realm. Some woman he hardly knew from a pack he didn't quite care for. They were tied at the time, and since he had noticed he felt no desire to even go see her. For all he knew, he could have children from her. But this female in front of him, a lass of snowy complexion and butterfly wings made him feel completely out of his element. Like he had to have her. He had to woo her, for her to claim him. To want him. His thin tail curled tighter around his paws as she brought himself back and spoke of the pack ~ Informing her of their laws.
As he mentioned the similarities of their laws to Tarben, he noticed her face grow angry as she rose to leave. ”No thanks.” Worry grew in him, but he continued. As he spoke of instead, the women choosing who they wanted, she sat back down. Seemingly she was stunned by the laws. After he finished his speech to her about the grand pack Amaya had come to be, he heard her speak once more. ”So, what’s your red flag that has you only as a sigma?” He gave her a small laugh, shaking his head. "All of us were set as Sigmas, all except Narcissus that is. He kind of pissed off the Alpha." He said, giving a grimaced face as he spoke about the maned wolf.
”Amaya sounds like heaven compared to Tarben. Or dare I say, Amaya’s laws about consent should be the bar for all other packs?” He gave a nod, but his brows contorted into confusion. She seemed to know a bit about Tarben. "Did you have family in Tarben or something? I've never been there, so what I know is only what I've been told of it. Our Alphess is from there, but escaped early on in her journey to find a home." He spoke, curiously as he straightened his back.
His eyes still stayed on her as she suddenly got up, moving toward him. His breath felt like it had caught in his chest. Suddenly she side stepped, walking past him as her plume gently brushed over his shoulder. He felt like he was floating, silently taking in her scent before he rose to his own paws to follow her. A smile plastered to his face as he watched her take in the area. ”Okay, maybe Amaya is heaven. It’s so…colorful here. Even without the leaves, I can’t wait to see them during fall.” He grinned as he came to stand beside her, watching as the trees seemed to respond to her happiness. Her tail wagged and her wings fluttered like she had never seen such a beauty. Yet all he could do was smile at her.
Her smile lit up her face as she looked to him, his own heart felt like it would melt. ”How come more haven’t found out about this paradise?!” He chuckled as she seemed so content. ”And the waterfall…I’ve never seen one…so magnificent.” He hardly heard her as a shiver ran down his spine, causing pain to rock his body. He let out a quiet grunt as a pair of orange, black and white wings spurt from his shoulders. With a couple of breaths, he looked at them. He lifted them, feeling the air flow under his wings gently. A smile filled his lips before he folded them on his back, looking at Dwyn. That's when his eyes spotted something glowing between them, his breath once more held in his chest as he looked at it. "Dwyn-" He started, before looking at her once more. This couldn't be happening again. He didn't want to lose interest in her like he had Evangeline when the line faded away. Perhaps she wouldn't even want him. Did these always disappear? Could he make it stay? "Dwyn, you're . . . You're my soulmate." He said, confusion and worry on his face.
