The words of Lucaya rang through his head as he led Wisteria back to Dawnshire territory. He honestly couldn't believe that she had made he way here.. The poor girl. She had been through enough for one day. For one night. What a rollercoaster of emotions for her. Honestly, Helius couldn't even imagine how she was feeling. Was she going to be okay? The Prince knew that he would protect her at all costs. The man who attacked her was sealed up now, but he had prayed that the Queen would let them execute him. Wisteria has even offered to take his head, which he didn't think would be a good idea. She'd never be able to heal from that. The man allowed her to lean on him as he led her back to their home, where they would be staying for the time being. He didn't want her anywhere near Hawthorne territory anymore, not for a while at least. He didn't want her to have to relive everything that happened to her. She'd make the calls at home for now, and Helius would do what she wanted. The man had to stay silent, listening to the words of Lucaya, Phobus, and Wisteria all over again. Phobus had spoken to him.. "If you want me dead, Helius. Then do it. I'd rather be dead. Hell has a spot waiting for me." The words rang through. One day, he would kill that man. He would kill him for what he did to Wisteria. Even if it took all his life, even if it made him a executioner, he would do it. He'd kill for Wisteria, time and time again. She had his heart. Whatever she commanded him to do, he would do it.
Helius shook off the thoughts, trying to catch Wisteria's gaze as they walked. "My love.." He started, gently nosing her cheek. "You didn't have to come.. Phobus got off on seeing you, seeing you hurting.. But he's prisoner now. He has no chance to escape. Hawthorne keeps its prisoners well. Plus, if Lucaya get's hungry, she'll just eat him." He tried to lighten up the mood a bit with a small joke at the end, but he knew it wasn't much of one. Lucaya was a vampire, she could easily kill off that monster at any point. His family wouldn't have any quarrels with it, they suggested execution tonight as well. Part of him was glad Phobus was getting locked up, forced to think about what he did. But the other half of him thought that the monster got off easy. He wasn't going to sit in there and think, he'd brood and become even darker than before. If he ever got the chance to escape, he'd take it. And then, Helius would fear for himself and Wisteria. What would happen if Phobus had gotten Wisteria pregnant? Honestly, the Prince wanted to keep Wisteria safe and he failed at that.
That was the guilt eating him up inside. The fact he failed to keep his wife safe from a monster. As they got to Dawnshire, the boy led her back into their den. He laid down, leaving his side open for her to curl up next to him if she pleased. "Wisteria.." He murmured, hoping she would lay down. If she did, he would gently place his head on her shoulder, tail curling around her. "I'm so sorry I couldn't keep you safe from him. I broke a vow, of not letting anyone hurt you.. Everything that happened tonight was not your fault, nor should you blame yourself. And I hope you know, you haven't ruined anything. I can tell that's what your thinking. But you haven't. In my eyes, you're still the bright and happy young lady I fell in love with. We all have damage, and yours is fresh. But I'll love you through it, my dear. I will never leave you. It's till death, my love. You're my one and only, and all I want to do is snuggle in with you tonight." He murmured, the fire on his back burning low. The flowers had still been there for when he organized their den for their wedding night, but he assumed that wouldn't be happening tonight. Or for a while, until she healed from what had happened.
He let out a soft sigh, pulling her closer into him. "I will always love you, Wisteria. We're in this together. I promise now, no one will ever hurt you again, or I will kill them. If anything were to happen to you, I.." He trailed off, not knowing what he would even say. What would he do? What could he do? If Wisteria left, or died.. Helius would be a broken shell of the man he once was. Which is why he wanted to cherish every moment that he had with her. Wisteria was his life. His home, his everything. She was everything. Phobus had said the opposite to her, calling her nothing. That she didn't deserve anything good. "I hope you know, my love, that you deserve everything good. You deserve a life full of happiness, love, and hope." He whispered to her, gently licking her cheek and pressing his forehead against it.
