Come Now, Bite Through These Wires
I’m In Waking Hell & The Gods Grow Tired
The banded woman awoke on the freezing shores of the a place unknown to her, an ache to her body that she didn't quite grasp. The cold waters that washed her in had long sunk bank, leaving the stench of salt on her fur and small clumps of ice all around her pelt as a kiss farewell. A groan left her maw, little recollection on her mind of what happened or where she was. As she stumbled to rise to her paws, a twinge on her back made her shudder. Her golden eyes fluttered to see the strangest thing, a pair of insect wings sprouted from her spine to which she could only say would resemble a dragonfly. That was impossible.
Her confusion was only met with more questions as she looked around, not knowing where she was. Pines and snow surrounded her on a narrow strip of land, a mountain cutting off her gaze to the rest of the realm. She was too tired to argue with the idea of swimming off of the strip, nares picking up on the scent of a pack. Despite the cold sea, snow and pines, she could smell smoke and ash. What was happening here? She sat down, attempting to recollect herself. All she had to hold onto was her name ; Vespula. The insect gave a soft whimper as her head throbbed, likely being hit off of one of the many rocks around the snowy beach.
The insect mustered up her strength and courage still, moving slowly toward the pine trees that were marked as a packs border. She rose her head to send out a hauntingly beautiful call for someone to come. She knew if she were to survive, she'd need to not only fit in among the others here, but she'd need to belong. Her wings closed gently on her back, and her frame leaned against the pine as she attempted to think more on just how she got here.
Walk, "Talk", Think.
