Unfazed by her intimidating aura, he dipped his head in greeting and in deference to the one whoms land he teetered upon. Jekyll also wondered what action of his warranted the slight curiosity, or judgment, of this female, assuming her action had indeed been directed at him, but this was something for another day. At least he had the excuse of different customs for any perceived odd behaviour.
”Who are you, and what business do you have?”
”Hooz it goin’? I’m Jekyll, nice to make yer acquaintance.” Her words were strange, her accent odder, which immediately caught his interest. ”I was round and aboot, having a wee neb at what this is all about.” He spoke quieter than loud, but not softly. His words were light, yet his mind was buzzing with all the things he could learn from this land, from these wolves.
Even before his journey, on the moors there was rarely any company but the birds. The company itself didn’t interest Jekyll, but rather, watching their behaviour, why they act as they do, seeing any hypocrisy, would be days of amusement. If he could possibly stand them for days, that is.
