Then she went on to offer him a place. Certainly interesting. That isn’t the way most people would pose an offer, yet she must be pretty desperate to want me, someone she knows nothing about, in terms of trust or skills or even work ethic. Perhaps she is inadequate at convincing, or perhaps she doesn’t want to admit to herself her own desperate need of pack members. I’m sure she’d argue that if someone was fazed by the first part, they’d be no good to join, yet this would be untrue, since she’s accepting me on the basis of nothing, and she could have made the above sound more appealing rather than exaggerate the effects.
He thought fast, and by then she had just finished speaking. Of course, no expression of these thoughts played on his face, for this is how he always was. ” ’Tis a guid offer, I kin accept.”
She gives away so much information, both willingly in her words, and unwillingly in the subtitles. If all the wolves are like this, my time here will be very enjoyable!
Occ: (I’ve not done an accent in the thoughts for ease of writing / reading, but I assume he’d think in a Scottish accent also.)
