The Vampire Queen was victorious with the war, her side had prevailed. Though at the cost of so many she cared for. Her crimson eyes watched as the other side retreated from the battlefield, and her pack began to collect their corpses. The vision of her grieving mother over her lifeless fathers corpse engraved into her brain as she carried her own son onward and home. Her eyes flicked to Nibris, her beloved. Sorrow in her eyes flashed for a moment as she kept close to their new prisoner. Lahmer was sent with Tarben, her own daughter. She felt her stomach turning as her head hung low.
As the reached their snowy home, Lucaya gently set her son just in front of where her children usually sat under her and Nibris' throne. She sighed, nuzzling his cheek with her muzzle before leaping up to the throne. She waited, knowing Nibris would likely be shortly behind her. Her eyes looked to him once more before they flicked to the pack that followed in setting their loved ones in the center of the meeting area. Her head raised high, the crown of thorns she had upturned towards the moon as nightfall had already approached for the land of the vampires. The light passing rain washed away all of the blood soaked on her pelt. She kept Aethelflaed under her, next to Helheim where the girl seemed too scared to even attempt to move from.
"Good evening, everyone." She spoke, looking to meet each of their gazes. The only thing keeping her from showing sadness was showing no emotion whatsoever. "Thank you all for venturing back with our fallen soldiers. It's only right they are laid to rest in their homes. I'd like to say a few words in their honor separately, you may speak afterwards on their behalf. Then after, I'd like to give out our new ranking system." She said, her voice somehow remaining strong though she was tired. She looked to her fathers lifeless body, her heart feeling like it was breaking. "Father. Though you and I may have had our difficulties, I loved you. I have no wish to hold onto the ill, you fought bravely even though I know you were scared. I'll take care of Mother for you." She said softly, her eyes flicking to her son. She stiffened as she attempted to speak his name. "Helheim, my sweet boy. You fought valiantly, you always had heart. Take care of your Grandfather, and watch over your sister and aunt for us." She said, her voice wavering at the end, leaning gently to Nibris for support.
As she withdrew herself, she continued. "Aya, my sister. You were strong, like me, like mom. Always. You were beautiful with those wings graced on your back, and I will take the wings of those who did this to you. You're with Father and your nephew now, until we all meet again." She said, her eyes on the fallen girl with a snapped neck and shattered wings. She looked to Oracle, the shredded corpse. A shred of sadness hit her heart, Daneliya wouldn't know of her son's death. "Oracle, you were born and raised here. I remember, I had visited when you and your sisters were born and I was carrying my own children. I'm deeply sorry that you met the same demise as your father, at the jaws of the same man. You can rest peacefully with your father, Kelsea will forever be protected." She said, giving a breath before looking to Bastians mangled body. "Last, but not least - Bastian. When news of this storming war came to a head, I'll admit I placed some blame on you and your brother Bones for harboring here. But I knew you only wanted to be safe. You knew how dangerous it was, but you still attempted to go for your brother on the other side. You were brave. Watch over Bones and his mate, watch over your nieces and nephews. They will be safe and forever welcome in Hawthorne." She spoke, closing her eyes as her head lowered slightly to listen to any who spoke up. "Until we meet again. Families of the deceased, you will be able to choose how to lay your loved ones to rest and do so yourself. If you seek assistance, please ask."
She waited for a few moments, once more collecting herself as she rose her head back up. Her plume curled around her paws. "As for rankings. Some of you are being released from Sigma position, Kelsea - You will be assigned as a Zeta alongside Fara. Bones, you will be put to Iota." She spoke, softening a bit again as she continued. "As you all now know, Phobus is remaining loose. He is not to leave Tarben territory, as per agreement with the truce. If he is seen, he is a kill on sight. If any of the following wolves are seen, they are a kill on sight - Callie, member of Sindri. Lova, member of Tarben. Estelle, member of Tarben. Balerion, member of Tarben. Do not trespass, as that would violate our terms and could mean the death of our innocents in Tarben. As you may recall, we have not recovered Drevis though she does seem to still be alive - And they now have my own daughter Lahmer in place of Beartooths daughter Aethelflaed. Aethelflaed is not to be harmed, and will have two Sigmas on watch for her at all times - Ruax and Styxx, that falls on you two." She looked to Nibris. "Is there anything you'd like to add, my love?"
Walk, "Talk", Think.
"Another trick to treat, with candy apple dreams . . ."
