The starry femme’s tears welled in her eyes as she yelled at Balerion, barely taking his words in as she raged about Aya’s death. He blabbered on about wanting to tell her, and after Lahmer had said Aya did not deserve such a horrific death, Balerion yelled back, the hurt in his voice apparent as he approached. ”Do you not think I know that?! Do you think I would have done so if I knew who she was to you?! It was killing me, and I kept it a secret to try and save it from killing you!” Lahmer remained still, fangs still bared, muttering a ”Bullsh*t.” under her breath. Balerion still would have followed Beartooth’s command. She then made her next statement – she was going back to Hawthorne. This hit him where it hurt, as Lahmer’s crimson eyes caught Bal stiffen and tears begin to form at his eyes. ”Then f*cking go.”

His words hit her like a slap to the face. Her posture loosened, eyes widening as her soulmate flew into the night sky. The tears in her eyes led to silent sobs, as she went to retrieve the children. ”Come… on… my… little… lovelies…” She spoke between the hitches in her breath, nudging the three of them out of the den. ”We’re going to visit some of mom’s family.” She spoke, this time, more composed as she began the not so far trek to Hawthorne. During the journey, her ears perked up at the sound of Bal, calling out for a dragon army. She scoffed. ”F*ck him and his army.” She spoke under her breath. ”Murderous brute.” Her crimson eyes watched all three pups, offering to carry them if necessary.

Eventually, the small family would reach Hawthorne, where Lahmer sat down, hoping the kids would follow suit, and howled, calling for her mother. Her crimson eyes began to well up again with tears, looking down at the soul-tie that still lingered. The thought crossed her mind, with what he had done to Aya…but Lahmer could not muster up that courage, or energy for that matter. She was upset, and needed some good bonding time with her mother.
