Shuu had not kept himself around Sabertooth since after the war. He had been just outside of the pack’s borders when he saw wolves beginning to rally towards the proving grounds, and in particular, his sight was drawn towards an albino female of Tarben. She looked exactly like what he needed in his life – a strong woman that he could adore and worship her every move. He would not go as far as to call her “mommy”, but the mindset being similar in that she could beat Shuu up and he would think even more positively of her, whilst becoming even more possessive as no one else needed to have her attention. Not long after the war and not long after Sabertooth had the necessary meetings, Shuu left the pack and began to camp around Tarben’s borders. He kept his scent under wraps, as he was sure to roll his black, grey, and white body around in the snow and dirt. He also hoped that the smell of Sabertooth would be so novel to the pack members here, as the two packs never had any relations that he knew of. But his vibrant violet eye and soft blue eye kept a watch on the Tarben pack lands daily, looking and listening for any tips about the albino ess’s current relations and the like. It did not take long for him to discover that her name was Skadi, and she was the eldest daughter of Beartooth, however, not mothered by the maned wolf queen, Soraya. The beautiful Skadi was also “claimed by” a bluish appearing wolf named Pontchartrain, and they both stood currently at the ranking of Beta. They had several children too, who seemed to all be okay in standing. One of the male children of Skadi, who Shuu had come to learn was Malaren, was constantly near the borders of Tarben. And the monokeros male had been watching his behavior closely too. It seemed as if he wanted to be ranked higher within the dane lands? Had he not claimed himself a female yet either in Tarben? This began to boil ideas in the monokeros male’s mind…it seemed as if turning the son against the father to get with the mother, well, not actually lay with his mom but rather achieve the role of Beta, might be a good start. It would get that damned bluish wolf out of the picture in one form or another, hopefully, and give Shuu a chance to claim Skadi as his own, just outside of the packlands. A few days had passed, and Shuu wandered outside of the temporary den, wandering to Tarben’s border to await Malaren, who had normally passed by around here at this time. Upon catching sight of him, Shuu spoke. ”Hey.” The black, grey, and white mottled male, once Malaren had made eye contact with him, would sit down to show he was not a threat, and then would beckon the boy towards him. ”You want power, or more so, to be respected by your grandfather, right? I may be able to help you.” Provided that Malaren was intrigued, Shuu would continue speaking. ”Now, it may sound quite absurd at first, just bear with me.” He paused, taking a deep breath before his next words, which were in a tone like a suggestion, questioning. ”What if…you challenged your father for your mother? You would get the Beta ranking if you won, yes?” This was just to plant the idea into the male’s mind. If by chance Shuu were asked about who he was, how he knew of Malaren’s family, and what his intentions were, he’d answer somewhat truthfully, omitting some details. ”I’m Shuu – I particularly took interest in your mother, Skadi, when I saw her going to the war that seems forever ago now. I want her as much as you want the respect, but I don’t wish for the ranking, nor pack affiliation. When you would achieve the Beta role, you could kick your mother out of the lands – surely you would not want her getting in the way of respect from your grandfather, right?” If Malaren had not asked about Shuu, this would be skipped. Regardless, he’d extend his white paw forward, hiding a smirk on his face and would speak once more. ”This is a once in a lifetime opportunity, my good man. Do we have a deal?” OOC: Meta’s permission granted for Malaren’s tendency to be around the border and his behaviors. Actions & Words.
