The Princess had grown bored. Despite her flirtatious body language with other males, no one advanced. She was tired of it, did no one want the heiress? Truly? She desired to be fought over, to be, in a lighter phrasing, a brood-mother for the next generation. Yet, the call she heard was like music to her ears. Finally someone was challenging for her hand, and for Pontchartrains ranking. Her smaller frame quickly moved throughout the ice kingdom, frantic to see the battle that would ensue. But when she got there, she only saw mist.
Her hueless eyes watched frantically, panicking almost to see who would be victorious. Perhaps Pontchartrain would be good for her after all - If he'd win. As the mist began to clear, and her claws clung to the icy ledge she stayed atop of, all she heard was the stumbling of words. ”No…no no no no. There’s no…no way…I…I…” Why was Pontchartrain stumbling on his words? The grin that rested on her lips faded, the russian blue male who looked so similar to her mate laid lifeless before him. As if in a trance, she lunged forward, her body swiftly going to her sons side as she nudged him. "No . . . No, no! Maleren!" She began to sob as she screamed his name. She clung to her boys body.
Her hueless eyes quickly darted to Pontchartrain. "YOU!!! How f*cking could you?! He was our son!!" She screamed, rising to confront him. "You killed our son!!!" She sobbed, shaking uncontrollably. "I never want to see you again, get out! Get the f*ck out!!" She spat venomously in between her sobs. Her watering eyes looked to the cliff she leapt from, seeing her father. "This is a great disappointment - Pontchartrain, you're exiled for the murder of my grandson. Take your leave, or you will meet his fate." The coldness in her fathers voice only reflected Skadi's own. Her eyes narrowed as the ground around her began to freeze with ice spikes. "Get OUT!!!"
