Her journey had been mostly alone, aside from the small encounter she had with Icarus. He seemed to have some unhealthy habits, lost motivation for taking care of himself. He still was handsome under all the ash, and she was determined on her want to fix him. To feel like she could fix something after all she knew how to do was destroy. Her intentions had always been well, and yet she had suffered through so much.
So she decided she'd set out in search of him, and hopefully a place to call home until then. Her white paws collided with the snowy ground as she made her way around. It had been a while since she had found herself in Icarus' presence. Her sad, firelit eyes watched her surroundings drag past her almost in a daze as her brain juggled all of the thoughts going through. Finally all of the noise stopped and all she could think of was the look on her beloveds face as she burned him to the ground. With a wince at the images engraved into her brain, she came too.
She stood ankle deep in the rushing, ice cold waters of a river. Just on the other side she heard a howl come from, summoning for a pack meeting. Even better - She could smell Icarus was nearby. She put two and two together rather quickly, but she needed to find a way through. Of course it was a wetland, why would it not be? Why would it not be a place dry, where she didn't have to worry about the fire on her spine going out? She never found out what would happen if it did go out . . . She gingerly stepped, hoping to not make a scene as there were few trees and she likely could be somewhat seen.
The water quickly rushed over her as a step she took wasn't onto solid ground. She gave a quiet squeak just as she slipped under, popping back up quickly at the other side of the bank. She shook out her pelt, her fire busting and hissing across her spine as it rose and evaporated the water around her nape. With a deep breath, she continued on inland. Her head hung low, still dripping with water as she came to a stop just at the circle of wolves who came to this alphesses call. She pretended not to notice Icarus, her eyes only set on the wolf seemingly in charge. With a respectful bow of her head, she gave a soft smile to the female. "Hello, I'm Soliel. I'm a fire elemental if you couldn't tell." She sat on her own, wrapping her plume around her paws to try and warm them as she shivered. "It's a little hard getting here from the direction I came in." She chuckled softly between her shivers.
"Even if it takes all night, or a hundred years . . . "
