Her jaw immediately opened, he could only hope she wouldn't be angry. ”Why me? Why . . . why do you need an ally? What is so urgent that you could possibly . . . Am I to assume your name isn’t Wendigo, then? I’m just curious to know how you picked me out as such a possible target. Of course. I get it, you were just following orders; you decided to fool me into thinking you were some poor sap freezing to death. You know, it’s remorseless, lying creatures like you who bring about the end of the world.”
He gave a small smirk at her words, staying silent as he sat near the entrance of her den. "My name is Wendigo, I only lied about why I was here and being cold. I don't get cold, I'm a Vampire." His eyes flicked to her, a flash of red taking over the amber in them for a moment. "I didn't want this either, if it makes you feel better. I have my heart set on someone." He shrugged his shoulders, looking back out of the dens entrance. "Tarben needs numbers, a war is coming. Beartooth had high doubts anyone would dare join him on the field of battle against Hawthorne, Dawnshire and Amberbjorne - Aside from his already allied Nightingale. So he asked me to do his dirty work as he's mated to another, as I've not yet claimed my woman and taken his sacred oath of marriage."
He spoke sharply, his head turning to look to her. "Unfortunately or not, depending on how you look at it, you're likely to carry my children. You will have an heir, though I would like for whichever you don't claim as your next in line to come with me to Tarben. Surely, you'd be able to see them as much as you'd like, I'm not the type to demand hurtful things of mothers. But an alliance is key. They will be born of Tarben and of Sindri. While you may think of me badly, don't wish harm on our kin. We will need you, be ready for our call." He said his last sentence softer, rising to his feet to take his leave. "I will see you soon, Athena."
Walk, "Talk", Think.
"You get it too, to the fullest!"
