The man had so much on his mind. As of lately, he’d been at peace. He’d enjoyed spending his days as Alpha tossing out orders to those below him, chatting with his sister, and coming home to his den at night with Amalthea. She’d become such a bright part of his day he didn’t know how he had lived without her before. Now she was in Nightingale being treated as a queen, the queen he knew that she’d turn out to be. He wanted nothing more than to share his life with her, he’d become so fond of her. The Voodoo King found himself wishing she was always by his side, during meetings, during discussions of private matters, anytime. He wanted her there. Now, word was coming that a new war was starting - one with Amalthea’s home of Sabertooth. He was willing to put everything on the line to protect her family if he needed. Sabertooth had a strong ally in Nightingale. This would be on Sabertooth’s ask if they needed them there. Sliding out of the den he and Amalthea shared, he cleared the rock formation that they used for pack meeting. He raised his maw to the sky and called out for his pack. Hopefully, they would all come. He hadn’t called a meeting in some time, he didn’t know what all members he had anymore. Kalon and Hecate he was sure would attend, as well as Amalthea. But the others? He wasn’t sure who would all be making appearances. This pack was coming to dwindling numbers and he needed to do something about it. Maybe pushing Hecate and Kalon to pup would be a good idea, and he had his own plans to speak with Amalthea about their own children, if she wanted them. He did want pups himself, he wanted to be able to be a father that he didn't get from his. They were cast into different directions.. and he didn't get to say goodbye to Jack, or Onai. They perished at the hands of Nightingale's old leader. Neither him nor Hecate were able to say any final words to their parents, nor attend their burial at Amberbjorne. Had he known his parents were on the other side of things, would he have changed his mind pledging his loyalty to Sindri, thus Tarben's side? Cato knew he shouldn't blame himself, but it was hard not too. His brilliant yellow orbs peers out from behind his skull mask, staring at the clearing before him, hoping someone would show up soon. The upcoming war was weighing heavy on his mind, and he had to make a decision. To fight, or to wait. He wasn't entirely sure that Sabertooth would ask for their help, but if they needed it, all they had to do was say the word. His pack would jump into action at the drop of a hat. As he sat back on the cool stone, a gentle spring breeze came through the clearing and ruffled his fur just a bit. The scent of many lingered in the wind. Brething in slowly, the man tried his best to keep his kingly composure, not wanting to seem as defeated as he felt. WORD COUNT: 536 puppet of alana
