The child had grown tired of watching the world go by, every day he had been getting stronger and stronger. He'd feast on the carcasses left behind by other wolves and other meat eaters. His tiny body was growing by the day, his frail wings now able to carry him. With a happy smile, he would trudge through Starfall. He made his way all the way up the shoreline until it was too cold to touch the waters. His gray molted pelt shivering at the cold winds that blew in. His red wings opened, carrying him into the sky briefly as he looked for somewhere safe.
That's when he spotted a small group of wolves, wondering if they were a family. He hoped he could find his mother and father, his flowers on his back flailing in the winds as he landed into the packlands unknown to him. He stayed to the bushes, watching quietly as a gray male spoke. “King Cato . . . I found this pup. He’s close to death, I think. I was wondering if . . . he could stay with the pack. He doesn’t seem to have any family.” His white eyes widened as he ran out of the bushes and towards the little child. "He's like me?!" He exclaimed, his tail wagging wildly as he looked at the small pup. "A brother? Oh wow, I always wanted siblings!" He said happily, not realizing he had just exposed his position to everyone. His white gaze flicked to the male who carried in the pup, before nervously looking up to the two on the rocky throne.
He sheepishly tucked his tail between his legs. "Uh, hi . . ." He spoke with a shy smile. His white eyes fearful, as he'd never been so close to others of his kind before. His wings stayed pinned down to his back as he gulped. "My name's Carlile, I hatched from an egg." He spoke sheepishly. "I don't have a family, but I really want one. I was lonely and looking for some more food on my way up the coast, but it's too cold to find fish and the waters are too scary here." He said, looking to the ground.
