She lashed out, ignoring the pain in her ribs (thankfully not too low), and slashed for Hecate’s side. A full hit would slice at the rainbow ess’s stomach, cutting it open and potentially breaking a rib or collapsing a lung. A half hit would end up shredding to the side toward Hecate’s shoulder, dislocating a rib and tearing into muscle; and a full miss would send Irina on top of Hecate, who would be on her side or stomach, with the momentum. Then she seized Hecate’s right front leg, from wherever she was at. She bore down with all her weight and strength. A miss would simply leave deep scars in the leg and muscle; a half hit would just barely break Hecate’s bone, and a full hit would snap the bone right clean in half to the point where both ends stuck out of her skin. Irina panted with adrenaline and exhilaration. Her jaw throbbed and her ribs felt like she was being stabbed. But she was certain she could beat this girl. She was definitely no snowflake, however, so Irina would have to be careful.
