The summer was nearing its end. Despite both Marius and Eponine coming to Starfall together, it appeared as if the gray wolf boy lost her? He had not seen her in weeks. However, he still continuously searched. His most recent search area was that of the Ashen Woodlands, where he happened upon a comet that was altering many wolves’ appearances and abilities. It just so happened that Marius received a mutation too, the one known as Kitsune. He had grown seven additional tails, which certainly added enough weight to his rear that Marius had to learn quickly how to change his stride. Additionally, with the space they took up, he needed to become more aware of his surroundings and better at estimating. He heard rumors that these additional tails also came with powers, but he had yet to discover his. It was shortly after this that he heard a howl from a nearby pack: Sabertooth. They were calling for a pack meeting. Marius figured that Sabertooth would provide him refuge, and the walk to the meeting clearing was tiring enough. When he arrived, he took an open space and immediately sat down, relieving the pressure off his hind legs and back. Yup, the tails would certainly be an adjustment. ”Hello,” He said, slightly panting, whilst trying to regain his breath. ”My name is Marius, and I would like to join your ranks.” He looked up, his soft green eyes meeting the gaze of a male with silver eyes, one of which had a blue band in it. Marius allowed ample time for this male, whom he assumed to be alpha, to introduce himself or whatever he so wish. After that interaction, Marius had a chance to look around at all the members…it appeared that he and the male who had a wing wrapped around a female painted like a sunrise were the only adult males here. One of the younger wolves was also a male, from what Marius could tell. The gray wolf also took note of the various outward mutations present. There was the male with wings of a barn owl, the female beside him with fur color changing in accordance to the sunrise, a younger female with wings of a bug of some sort, a female with antlers, and a female who he heard mention something along the lines of being a spirit walker. He was still left questioning about the young male and the most recent female to arrive, who seemed to be rather curious about the sky-painted female, but the gray and brown hued male knew he certainly stuck out. He had eight tails now. A part of Marius yearned that Eponine would find him once again and join him in these lands. He did not even bother to think about what Eponine’s reaction would be to his new mutation or if she had gained one herself. He just needed his best friend alongside him. They were friends since they were little, roughhousing around and getting into little bouts of chaos here and there. Reflecting on these memories put a small smile on Marius’s maw. Sure, part of Marius did want to settle down, but he still longed for the presence of someone familiar in these new lands. However, the male was also excited to meet the many new people, maybe even possibly a lover? Seeing the winged male and the sky-painted female so close together made him yearn even more for a physical, romantic connection like the one right in front of him. It surely did not take much to tell that these two were in love with each other, the male with his wing tenderly wrapped around the sky female, who was once nervous, but was now calmed by his touch. Marius bet to himself that if these two were not mates already, they would make it official soon. Actions & Words.
