The French Madames heart ached for the sight of her father again. Valjean was probably worried sick about her, about where she was, what she was doing.. He was a kind man. Her adoptive father had taken her in from the Thénardiers, the wolves watching her while her mother attempted to keep her safe. Unfortunately, when Valjean. came to get her.. she'd learned that Fantine had passed from an illness surrounding a cold. There wasn't anything they could do to save her. At that time, Cosette had been too young to process that information. This man wanted to take her away, become a Papa to her. Gladly she agreed - the Thénardiers weren't the nicest wolves. They had her do the chores, keep things picked up, and spoiled their daughter. The daughter.. Cosette couldn't remember her name for the life of her. That was fair, she'd blocked most of that life out of her mind. Falling into this world had shocked her. Cosette had been given everything by Valjean, and now she had to survive on her own. One man stuck out at the Sabertooth meeting, though. Marius. His name was french.. he had to have fallen here around the same time, yes? That was just her assumption on it. Cosette couldn't keep Marius out of her head. This looks were something to behold, and his voice.. god that voice. As Cosette worked on finishing up her den, Marius' voice stuck in her mind. That's when the ballerina sighed and shook her head. "What's the matter with you, Cosette? Have you been too much on your own?" She chided herself, questioning even her own thoughts. "So many things unclear.. so many things unknown." Her words stung her own heart, but she had to figure out why she was here. Cosette had wished every day that she'd been here, that Valjean would magically appear here. He would know what to do. Finishing up her den, the woman looked at it proudly with a smile. "Perfect." She whispered to herself, before feeling her stomach growl. Hunting.. Valjean had always provided her with food. Lately, she'd been sticking to attempting to catch little prey here and there.. even that was a learning curve. "Ate you that inept, Cosette?" She spoke to herself, rolling her eyes before heading into the forest a ways. She could catch prey, easily. Raising her nose, she scented a few small rodents not too far away. Keeping her body low to the ground, the cream colored woman stalked forward, before leaping and catching the mole right between her paws. With a quick bite, she brought the poor thing out of its misery before pasdding back to her den. Laying it down, the girl gave a soft sigh. Once again.. the thought of Marius crossed her brain. "Does he see what I see, does he feel what I feel?" she whispered, laying her cream body down and moving the mole a bit away froms her. No longer was she hungry. Her soft green eyes stared out at the forest, hoping for someone- anyone, to appear.
