She was cold.
i loved you with a fire red, now it’s turning blue
It wasn’t the nicest spring day. The little brown lass with orange eyes padded quietly along with her brother, her sisters, and her uncle and mother. Calvin and Chickadee were very busy playing some kind of guessing game. Mother was silent, walking in step with jittery Uncle Remus. Derevko was chewing on the remains of her snack-a tiny yellow finch. Snowflake had never liked birds. There were too many feathers!
Snowflake rushed to catch up with Chicka and Calvin. ”Hey! Can I play?”
”Sure,” replied Calvin. ”Why not?”
Snowy loved her brother. He was always kind and accepting. And he kept her positive about them joining Sabertooth.
The minutes passed as she played with her siblings. At some point Mother wandered on ahead with Derevko. Snowy’s scaled sister seemed to only be able to tolerate Mother. She was a bitter being, that was for sure.
Finally, Uncle called ahead at the border. Snowflake’s anxiety rocketed. Say they don’t want us. Say they have orders from Lucaya to kill us on sight. What if they murder Mother? And Uncle Remus. Derevko’s going to make a bloody mess out of everything. Oh God. We shouldn’t be here. Calvin sensed her anxiety and gave her a nudge. Chicka nuzzled Snow.
“I’m holding on your rope, got me ten feet off the ground”
